Recently Achieved Fitness Goal: Cheryl has been achieving big power walking intervals on Sligo Creek, and recently started personal training twice a week!
How Fitness Goal Was Achieved: Still a work in progress! Cheryl wanted to do strength training, balance and toning, so she began personal training at the NFC!
Favorite Thing About the NFC: “The staff! They care and make a point to know you.”
Favorite Exercise: “Do people really have a favorite exercise?!” But if she had to pick one, it would be Ab Rollups
Favorite Healthy Snack: Hard-boiled egg, Babybel cheese, and a couple slices of turkey pepperoni.
Fun Fact: Not only is Cheryl a second generation NOAA employee (her father worked for NWS), but she is also married to a former NOAA employee!
Best Fitness Advice: “Every day is a struggle, so just get out there and do it! Even if you have to sleep in your workout clothes… I am known to do it!”
